On October 27th, SATEC was invited to attend the Seminar on Intelligent Response and Control of Sudden Natural Disasters and High tech Applicationwhich held by Sichuan Emergency Management Bureau and related organizations.

The discussion mainly focuses on the latest research achievements and applications such as smart signage, smart fiber monitoring, micro motion detection technology and 3D modeling, emergency repair new materials, lightweight portable satellite communication equipment, safe operation monitoring of hydropower engineering, comprehensive disaster reduction big data and information platform.

At the seminar, SATEC representative presented to the experts and leaders present the emergency communication support and rich communication products for the future in major natural disasters, as well as the work in various fields such as forest fire prevention, energy, and geological monitoring. After the report, in-depth discussions were conducted with emergency department leaders and industry experts on the application of satellite communication in major natural disaster warning, rescue and other stages.

The seminar unanimously agreed that in recent years, natural disasters in Sichuan Province have been prone to frequent occurrences, and it is necessary to strengthen the research and application of risk source detection and identification technology, improve comprehensive monitoring, early warning, and governance measures for multiple disasters, and prevent and resolve major security risks; Strengthen the rapid acquisition, fusion, and application breakthroughs of multi-source data, and enhance emergency command and decision-making capabilities; Strengthen the research and application of low-cost portable individual communication detection equipment technology in post disaster blind areas, assist in the rapid detection and effective collection of disaster information in the event of "three interruptions" (traffic interruption, communication interruption, water and electricity interruption), and improve efficient and accurate rescue capabilities; Strengthen the generation and processing efficiency of digital twin applications and models for disaster damage assessment, and use information technology to promote scientific reconstruction after disasters.
