SATEC Emergency Communication Recovery in Luding Earthquake Area

On September 5, Luding County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, suffered a magnitude 6.8 earthquake with a focal depth of 16km, and some water, electricity, transportation, communications and other infrastructures were damaged. At present, the number of casualties is still increasing.

After the earthquake, Sichuan Communications Administration and the Emergency Management Department attached great importance to it, immediately launched the second level response of emergency communication support according to the case, and SATEC did not forget the mission and responsibility of the communication enterprise in the future. A leading group was set up at the first time, with the company's senior management taking the lead in deploying the front line emergency communication support work, and at the same time, the company's core technicians were arranged to actively cooperate with China Satcom to carry out earthquake relief work in the disaster area.

On the evening of September 5, SATEC successfully arrived in the disaster area with the first batch of emergency rescue equipment "0.5m ka-band automatic Flyaway terminal", cooperated with China Satcom to carry out on-site communication support work, rapidly built a ka high-throughput satellite network under the condition of "three disconnects", provided the Internet for various audio and video terminals on site, and ensured the efficiency and timeliness of the first-line audio and video transmission back to the headquarters in the disaster area, Provide effective information resources for the next disaster relief deployment of the headquarters.

At 10:00 this morning, the second batch of rescue equipment of SATEC has been assembled, and this batch of high-throughput satellite terminals is expected to arrive at the disaster area tonight.
